Terry and Nicole Woods, longtime residents of South Florida, are ecstatic to present to Boynton Beach a new and exciting restaurant and live entertainment venue. Terry Woods, an accomplished entrepreneur who has owned dozens of companies and employed thousands of people, has made it his lifelong goal to give back to the community.

Terry and Nicole’s passion for cuisine, culture, and performing arts led to the idea of an upscale food and entertainment destination unrivaled by anything they had seen before—thus, the idea was born.

Their love for the local community led to the idea of making this a place where families and friends could come together to socialize and enjoy unparalleled experiences—thus, The Venu grew its purpose.

Their belief in the power of teamwork led them to assemble a group of talented and experienced individuals from different backgrounds, and challenge them to bring their idea to reality—thus, The Venu was born. What started as a dream has now become reality, and Terry and Nicole are proud to open The Venu’s doors to the community.

Reed Demos General Manager

REED DEMOS, GENERAL MANAGER

General Manager Reed Demos has been in the service industry for more than two decades. He served in the United States Armed Forces for 8 years before leaving to Nashville to enter his family business of opening restaurants. Reed had a crucial role in the opening of the Seagate Hotel, one of the most prestigious vacation destinations in downtown Delray. Prior to opening The Venu Reed managed Vic and Angelo’s, a downtown Delray institution, for 5 years. 

Reed’s mission is to cultivate a place to indulge, inspire, celebrate, create. “The Venu is more than a restaurant, and more than a place to watch a great show. It is an experience, a spectacle, a food and entertainment destination with an incredible menu and high quality entertainment of all kinds.  Prepare to experience music, food, and culture in South Florida in a whole new way. KELLEY RANDALL, EXECUTIVE CHEF

Executive Chef Kelley Randall, second generation chef, has been running kitchens since the age of 19. Since then, he has headed several successful kitchens, including Vic and Angelo’s and The Office, both of which are located in the heart of the tourist favorite Delray Beach. He brings to The Venu’s kitchen a passion, creativity, and consistency that can only be attributed to his lifelong love of ingredients and technique.

Chef Kelley’s creative take on Italian and modern European cuisine is both innovative and familiar. Every dish that is crafted in our from-scratch kitchen is prepared with forethought and respect. He works with local farms here in South Florida, sourcing as many of the ingredients from home as possible. Some of the local farms sourced from include Living Sprouts, Pero Farms, Okeechobee Farms, and B&W Farms. 

Due to his emphasis on locality and consciousness of source, the menu changes with the seasons, guaranteeing the freshness and superior quality of each vegetable or cut of meat. View our current dinner menu below.

Mario Ferreira Assistant General Manager

MARIO FERREIRA, OPERATIONS MANAGER

Operations Manager Mario Ferreira has over 15 years of experience in fine dining, and has managed successful restaurants in 4 countries. Originally from Uruguay, he has called Florida home for many years. He opened Bellini, an Italian restaurant, and Prime Time, both owned by the same group and located in South Beach, Miami. He then worked for Chima, a high-volume fine dining Brazilian restaurant located in Las Olas, and headed operations there for 6 years. In 2014, he began managing at Vic and Angelo’s, where he worked alongside Reed and Chef Kelley. After three successful years, he comes to open The Venu. While Mario is well-versed in the world of fine dining, this is his first foray into the world of combining live music and dining, which makes this an exciting new venture.

Mario’s passion and goal is to provide impeccable service to every guest that comes into The Venu, and create an experience unlike any other. “At The Venu, service is prioritized above all else. We want every person that leaves our restaurant to feel taken care of, and I am confident that with this strong team, we can achieve this.”

MELISSA PHILLIPS, EVENT COORDINATOR

Melissa Phillips is a full-time student in Political Science, and has many years of experience working in fine dining establishments. Because of her expertise in the hospitality industry, she makes the perfect event planner. She will work with you to ensure that every detail of your party, whether it is for business or for pleasure, is executed perfectly.
